Two queries: What is your stance on 80's songs being sampled in today's music and what has the song "Friday" meant for the Euro Pop movement. -Z
Been a while since I've been back here.
To answer your first question, I have no real issue with 80's songs being sampled nowadays. I've noticed Flo Rida being a big perpetrator, and the songs aren't that great, but it brings back the flavor of the old songs when you hear them again, so all in all, it's kind of a good thing if you ask me.
Friday has been huge, and I can't necessarily speak for its impact on the Euro Pop movement since I've been out of the scene for a little while now, but it is opening many doors for the 14 year old white girl signers with 40 year old black rapper collaborations.
